River latern

Statement:
  • In this artwork, my goal is creating the profile of river lantern that brings me joy, especially when the colorful lights fulfill the whole river, representing the hope and memorial of people in the haven.
  • I accomplished these pictures by labeling color on each other with color pencils, and afterwards use white color pencil to blend the all color.
  • My painting is about the brightness of color which create the fascinating effect on dark late night about river lantern.
  • The most difficult challenge is making the drawing dimensional. Or rather make them look like abstracts river lantern.
  • I meet the challenge by modifying the outline lot of times to make them dimensional.
  • My second and third painting really work in the abstraction of  dimensional river lantern and the color appealing enough.
  • In next painting, I will try to blending more varieties and more intense colors to make color more appealing.
  • Connie Hayes is the artist I learned from, especially about the variety of ways to contrast color and blending them to create different effect.
  • Holly's painting is appealing to me because the three are consistent in the style
  • I would redo the first drawing to make it have three-dimensional appearance.
  • I feel best about the color blending in third painting.

Family

This is part of my family. We connect each other through face-talk on laptop. Even though practical distance is 11000km, we are mentally keeping touch!
This is my host family's historical pictures! This is all about our family!

These are the hats of my host family and me! The two in the center is my host parents hats, and the left one is my hat, while the right one is my host brother's hat.

This is a picture about my host brother and his girlfriend, revealing the moments that consist the ordinary joy in every normal day!
This is a family of goose!
